The story behind CFOly

CFOly was founded by Ashley Ingle, MBA, CPA, the CEO of accounting and advisory firm Profit Matters.

After years of reviewing financials with business owners, Ashley saw the same challenge repeatedly.

The accounting work could be complete. The financial statements could be accurate. The reports could be delivered.

But business owners still wanted to know:

What do these numbers mean?

Is the business healthy?

Why is cash different from profit?

Are we moving toward our goals?

What should we do next?

Accountants and advisors knew how to help answer those questions, but providing consistent financial review across every client required significant time and experience.

CFOly was created to give accounting firms a more scalable financial review and advisory platform—and to give business owners a clearer view of the story behind their numbers.

Ashley Ingle is a CPA, entrepreneur and the CEO of Profit Matters, an accounting, tax and advisory firm based in North Texas.

Her experience working directly with business owners and accounting teams shaped CFOly’s practical approach to financial review.

CFOly was not created from a theoretical list of AI features.

It was built around the real questions business owners ask and the real challenges accounting firms face when trying to provide proactive financial guidance across a growing client base.
